The Prismatic Betta Fish is a 280-piece wooden jigsaw puzzle for adults from Woodbests' Masterpiece Reserve Edition, part of the Azure Dreams Collection Vol. 1. Finished size: 51.2 × 47.7 cm (20.2 × 18.8 in). Recommended for ages 14+.
A betta fish fans its fins like stained glass, every membrane a different jewel tone — magenta, cyan, gold and violet. A lotus blooms at its center.
Why the Prismatic Betta Fish stands out
- Backside sections: Printed guides on the reverse make the overlapping fins easier to sort; follow them for a finish in around two hours.
- Oversized pieces: Up to three times larger than standard puzzle pieces, so the fine fin rays and lotus petals stay visible.
- More than 40 whimsy pieces: Small fish, shells and petals are cut as shaped pieces — roughly one in eight.
- Achievement Tracker Plate: A wooden plate for the puzzler's name, date, time and difficulty comes in the box.
- Wooden reference board and flip-top box: The board stands up as a reference, and the flip-top box keeps the pieces together.
- True jewel tones: Magenta, cyan and gold are printed to keep their contrast instead of muddying where the fins overlap.
The story behind the artwork
The betta was drawn in motion, fins trailing like ribbons, and the lotus was placed at the point where the body turns. Hand-drawn linework separates each fin ray; AI-assisted color turns the overlaps into layers of translucent color.

Display it, gift it, keep it
A vivid, almost kaleidoscopic piece, this one brings color to a studio, creative workspace or bedroom. The flowing outline looks best mounted on a backing board or floated in a thin black or pale wood frame, with space around the fins. It is a natural gift for aquarium keepers, betta owners and anyone who chooses art by color first — and the lower piece count makes it a friendly entry point to the collection.
