The Song of the Ocean Blue Whale is a 300-piece wooden jigsaw puzzle for adults from Woodbests' Masterpiece Reserve Edition, part of the Azure Dreams Collection Vol. 1. Finished size: 51.2 × 51 cm (20.2 × 20.1 in). Recommended for ages 14+.
A blue whale rises through curling waves beneath a low golden sun, its skin mapped with mandalas, coral and tiny fish. Turquoise, indigo and ochre move together like water catching light.
Why the Song of the Ocean Blue Whale stands out
- Backside sections: A printed section map on the reverse lets you build the wave patterns zone by zone, with a finish in around two hours if you follow it.
- Oversized pieces: Up to three times larger than standard puzzle pieces, so the mandala details and the spray are easy to see.
- More than 40 whimsy pieces: Whales, fish and shells are cut as shaped pieces; roughly one in eight pieces is a whimsy piece.
- Achievement Tracker Plate: A wooden plate records the date, puzzler, time and difficulty of your session.
- Wooden reference board and flip-top box: Stand the board up while you work, then store the pieces in the flip-top box.
- A smooth gradient: The turquoise-to-gold transition is printed to stay even across the whole image.
The story behind the artwork
The whale was drawn in a slow arc, as if breaching, and the waves were built around its body like ribbons. The sun sits low on the horizon, turning the spray gold. Hand-drawn linework defines the whale's plates, fins and the tiny fish; AI-assisted color brings the underwater light forward.

Display it, gift it, keep it
The near-square silhouette and open composition make this one of the easiest pieces in the collection to hang. It sits well in a living room with warm wood and brass, or a hallway that needs a hit of blue. Frame it on a backing board or float it in a shadow box; the shaped edge is part of the artwork, so leave a little space around it. A strong gift for whale watchers, sailors and anyone who has ever kept a sea journal.
